Chocolate cake in a mug! Cakey- fudgey texture in less than 3 mins!

image

Hello peeps! As you can tell from the title,  this is my experimental success of trying cake in a mug for the 1st time ever & it was amazing! what's a more perfect time to try this recipe out than during a long weekend? Make this with your mom, dad, sister, brother, little cousins or friends!
It was fudgy but more on the cakey texture side so if you like that, this recipe is perfect for you. There is no eggs in this recipe and its simple to make where you just combine the multiple ingredients. However, I have to say that you can totally find a cake in a mug recipe that has less ingredients but this was just the recipe that I tried out and that worked.

image

So here is the recipe for you guys to try out!

INGREDIENTS
1st set of dry ingredients
*5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
*4 1/2 tablespoons sugar
*2 teaspoons cocoa powder (unsweetened)
*1/4 teaspoon baking soda
*dash of salt (around 1/4 teaspoon)
2nd set of wet ingredients
*1/2 teaspoons white vinegar
*1/4 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
*2 teaspoons vegetable/canola oil
*4 1/2 tablespoons water

INSTRUCTIONS
1) Coat your mug with a nonstick spray or light butter. This will make a bug difference when you get to the bottom of the mug & when you're washing it
(Tehee I was too lazy to)

2) Mix & combine well the 1st set of dry ingredients with a fork or utensil.

3) Add in the vinegar - vanilla - oil. Mix well

4) Add in the water on top & combine until its a watery texture.

5) Pop it in the microwave for about 2 mins. You can check with a long toothpick but the inside will be somewhat fudgey so just keep that in mind when you do that.

Now its ready to dig in! (Be careful! The mug will be hot)
You can top it off with ice cream or whipping cream & it will be delicious! An awesome night in movie kind of treat for yourself on a rainy day ;)
This is a great cheat cheat to satisfy your cravings for some dessert or cake like treat without having to go through the whole cake process & have yourself a delicious snack yet not having to sacrifice the cravings.

Cook with lisa: EASY QUICK Festive holiday nutella pizza

image
So I was hungry, got into the festive mood and I wanted nutella so this was the result ☺ it is super fast and easy to make of you guys want to try it out. You can make it anytime and even make a Halloween version & call it something like "boo-tastic pizza"? Hahahha maybe something more creative
Ingredients
1. Pita bread
2. Nutella spread
3. Sprinkles or even fruits (strawberries). I got my Christmas sprinkles from bulk barn.
This is a very flexible recipe & you guys can get creative with it to match with your taste buds
Instructions
1. Take a whole pita bread & spread nutella all over the surface
2. Take your choice of topping & have fun with the arrangement of it. Make it shaped like a snowman ⛄ or even a word. It is totally up to you. I just sprinkled my Christmas sprinkles everywhere uniformly.
3. Place it in a toaster for about 5-10 mins (I did about 8 minutes) for about 350°C. This step is optional but I like to do this to give it a crispy finish. If you're hungry & can't wait, totally dig in after step 2
Divide the pizza into many slices with a pizza cuter or scissors. This is a great idea for a gathering get together to add a little fun to the party.
Have fun with this recipe & please send me a picture if you do try this out either here, on twitter or tweet me your rendition :)
I will check in with you guys later :) But for more frequent updates of my life follow my instagram twitter and tumbler !

College life - finals & Christmas fever

Image
So i decided to take a celebration selfie in the editing suites when i was at school friday. Finished half of my exams - First i had a 4 hour exam followed by a 3 hour exam - you can just imagine how happy and relieve I would be after all that craziness.

HAPPY DECEMBER PEEPS!
I have been super busy with school that I had no time for editing :( sorry! I am so sad that I have no time to decorate the house for the holidays too but I still have to go film & edit together my last video project, english exam tuesday morning and my LAST EXAM on thursday =D (celebrate good times, come on! <-- anyone know that song?) Then on friday, I have to go to my very good friend Eleanor's birthday bash and that's going to be crazy because everyone there is planning to get drunk and stuff but i'll be the sober one. Apparently, i'm her photographer for the night which i'm fine with. Good time to get some blackmail pictures ;) hahahaha just kidding. On monday I have to go to get some legal stuff done for my permanent citizenship. Dealing with legal stuff always makes me so out of my element and nervous, i don't know why. But yea that's on my list right now of things to do and HOPEFULLY after I will be able to set up my Christmas tree =D we're planning to purchase a new one for this year because our old one needs to retire.
I will check in with you guys later :) But for more frequent updates of my life follow my instagram twitter and tumbler !

Travel with me adventures - Fall Foliage

IT IS FINALLY HERE! My family trip fall foliage adventures! I've decided to name these trip video vlogs 'Travel with me adventures' or something around those lines from now just to make it a little organize.

I've realized that my video editing skills have improved a lot from my very 1st video which is pretty awesome. Every video I make, I'm just trying to challenge myself little by little & just explore with my creativity on the different methods and style that I can try out (hahaha a little reflection thought just now)

Of course, I have included my outfit AND a makeup of the day for you guys :) And say hello to this lovely stranger that decided to photobomb the picture! I just love random people with such spontaneous actions. They make your everyday adventures a joy

I really hope you guys like the video I made for you guys (and of course for memories too). Worked really hard on it & I can say that all those all nighters are worth it seeing how it turned out to be :) Enjoy everbody!

LOCATION: Blue Mountain Park area (Canada)
QUESTION: If you guys know any other cool interesting places to visit, please let me know! I love travelling to new places.

A smile a day keeps the problems away :)
