Travel with me adventures - Fall Foliage

IT IS FINALLY HERE! My family trip fall foliage adventures! I've decided to name these trip video vlogs 'Travel with me adventures' or something around those lines from now just to make it a little organize.

I've realized that my video editing skills have improved a lot from my very 1st video which is pretty awesome. Every video I make, I'm just trying to challenge myself little by little & just explore with my creativity on the different methods and style that I can try out (hahaha a little reflection thought just now)

Of course, I have included my outfit AND a makeup of the day for you guys :) And say hello to this lovely stranger that decided to photobomb the picture! I just love random people with such spontaneous actions. They make your everyday adventures a joy

I really hope you guys like the video I made for you guys (and of course for memories too). Worked really hard on it & I can say that all those all nighters are worth it seeing how it turned out to be :) Enjoy everbody!

LOCATION: Blue Mountain Park area (Canada)
QUESTION: If you guys know any other cool interesting places to visit, please let me know! I love travelling to new places.

Currently obsessed with ....

Let her go - Passenger

I am in love with this song. But before seeing the video & discovering passenger's unique style in music in relation to his song or voice, I heard it first in the car on the radio. My first thought was
"How weird does this artist's voice sound.... *few mins later* but for some strange reason, I can't seem to hate the raspiness in his voice. I just seem to love it more & more the more I listen to it on the radio"

Later on, I searched the song up on YouTube after hearing it constantly in the car on the way home. Boy, that was the best thing ever. Now I am hooked on the replay button. This song to me is very soulful unique and catchy tone with some great written lyrics. It about loosing someone/something (if you want to think of 'her' as something you've lost). It talks about cherishing something only when it's not in your reach anymore. I love love love this message & I definitely recommend this to you guys
Go give it a listen & give me your thoughts on it :)

I wish - Cher Lloyd Ft. T.I.

Before being obsessed with Let her go - Passenger, I was constantly playing Cher Lloyd's new single 'wish'. This is a more dance, Hip-Hop, love kind of jam. Its more up-beat & a party type of song than Let her go but its still awesome. I was first introduced to this from her instagram & I just decided to check it out since i'm already on YouTube (24/7 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year xD ).

I've been watching Cher since her beginning xFactor days when she had those very dramatic eyebrows that everyone seem to have noticed & talked about when they're talking about her early days on xFactor. She did not win xFactor but I mean not all winners come out as successful as contestants on the show. The important thing is that Cher was unique & different so even after being eliminated, she was noticed and signed by a record company because of her uniqueness and how much the audience loved her personality. Not to mention that she is beautiful & I am just in love with her personality myself (very down to earth girl )because she is not afraid to be herself & express whatever she is feeling and not care of what the media will think/judge her 'image' in the industry. Advice for all you pursuing dreamers to audition for a show or something like that :
BE DIFFERENT BE UNIQUE BE YOURSELF
Definitely go listen to this if you're looking for a new upbeat party house dancing love song :)

VLOG - Family Trip to Niagara Falls

This trip was on September 28, 2013 but I had to edit everything so it took a while (Sorry! better late than never right?)

Here is a video/vlog that I just put together with all the footage I shot that day, sorry for the shakiness. I did not plan on doing a video for this but I thought it would be fun to add with the pictures. Hope you guys enjoy!

So this is my 2nd time I believe going to Niagara Falls & both cases it was with my family. Recently, we've just been going on family trips together (not entirely everyone but whoever can make it) and I honestly have to say that is the best thing a family can do for bounding even if it means being cramped in the back seat for a few hours.

Yes, it took us around 2 hours to get to Niagara Falls and that day was just beautiful. The grasses were green, the wind was perfect, the sun was shining, there was no rain & it was just a fantastic day in general. There might not be much to see besides the falls at Niagara Falls but to walk up & down the streets.  But it is just a great site to take someone who might be visiting or new to Canada to see the famous falls. Unless you're out on a date then you'll have a great time to bound. I would recommend to go during the winter times when the snow is falling perfectly down with the beautiful lights flowing through the falls at night. It was just be an amazing date (*hint hint* to all you fellas or gals out there)

REVIEW: Cover Fx Foundation powder & cream

I thought that I should share the awesomeness of these foundation if anyone is like me that have gone through numerous unsatisfying foundation products. I'm going to be reviewing the Cover Fx powder & Cover Fx Cream foundation.

Warning: These are drugstore products but on the slightly pricey end BUT the extra cost is worth the coverage (for me at least).
 Cover Fx POWDER
Amaazing coverage. Personally, I get lazy when it comes to my morning putting on makeup while half asleep so this is great for all you peeps out there that are like moi. I would just slab the powder over my redness spots or acne area & it is instant coverage.Want more of a flawless overall look? Go ahead & do a couple of coats (depending how heavy one of your coat is cause I swirl my powder pad lightly). I love this product a lot & it my go-to grab when I am in a rush. It gives a flawless smooth look with a nice colour correction if you get a shade slightly darker than your normal skin tone if you need some help on the paler skin types.

My skin tends to be on the dry end but sometimes oily so its a combination. For my skin, I break out the most on the forehead area & especially after showering my skin shows the flaky parts. This is because of the warm-hot water that I shower & wash my face it. It strips your skin of it's natural oils which is where moisturizing with night cream comes in. Moisturizing at night after a long hot shower is crucial for a healthy smooth hydrated skin.
Typically, this powder foundation works amazing (with some flakiness due to my dry skin sometimes) but I would definitely list this product in my top 5 foundation.

***Note*** If I am correct, I think the powdering pad DOES NOT come with your purchase, I just got it from the dollar store for an easier application. You can of course use a powder brush too.

***NO EDIT*** For this shoot, I only used the Cover Fx Powder, nothing else. No primers or setting translucent powder. I did about just 2 coats on the entire face (n total) & 2 more additional coats on my forehead/acne spots (4 coats in total).
USUALLY - I would just do 1-3 quick coats.
RECOMMEND? - Yup yup
RATINGS OUT OF 10 - 9/10 (Sometimes the mix with my dry skin is not a good combo but the flakiness can only be seen up close & personal)

Cover Fx Cream
I've read that for the most coverage, you should go for the cream foundation instead of the liquid or powder types. So with that in mind, I've been using this cream foundation for my senior year in high school during my breakout days thinking that I would be the best coverage. Am..... personally, I feel that after trying the Cover Fx Powder I have to say that the powder did the best job of coverage & evening out wit minimum cakiness on my face. This could just be a personal skin reaction with the foundation but I haven't touch this cream foundation after trying the powder one just recently. Try it out & see which works best for you, it really is different for everyone.

It does feel heavy on my skin during and after application. I can feel that there's a coat of thick foundation on & it does not feel light in most cases. I will do the job if you just need coverage on redness .This did caked up parts of my skin (especially my forehead where my breakouts occurs the most) & additionally with my annoying dry skin, it's like a double tier cake of cakiness in all. I've also notice that my breakouts happen the heaviest when I'm about the get my period & if anyone else experience this too, don't worry girl, I feel your pain.

I found that even on my worst acne breakout spots, no matter how much I put on that area, it does not cover & even worst with so many unnecessary coats, there is an uneven colour on that spot compare to the rest of my face. In all - a big no no. I did not find this problem so far using the Cover Fx Powder.

***Note*** After numerous usage of this cream foundation, the base of where the product is gets all dirty with past old dirt & dust collected in the foundation itself. With that said, cleaning is necessary if you want to avoid anymore breakouts.

RECOMMEND? - In comparison to the Cover Fx Powder, no. But for normal coverage, try it out at the store & see if it works for you.
RATINGS OUT OF 10 - 6/10 (Cakiness of my acne spots, heavy feeling, thick, & dirt gets collected in the contained foundation)

DISCLAIMER: This review is base on my experience with these products & it might be a different result for you because of the various skin types. I am not being paid to review them (as much as that does sound good)

Laughter is the best medicine.... so laugh a little & laugh some more after

Everyone goes through shit but not everyone learn to get back up in the end. Laughter is the best medicine. Stuff happens but it takes more courage to keep moving on in life than to give up. The only thing that will ever be in your way to what you want is yourself. Don't blame it on anything or anyone but your own determination.
P.S. My makeup was done the same as my last post here

You can do it! I believe in you! =D
"Hi social media, meet lisa, lisa, lisa, lisa, & lisa and lisas, meet social media"

Who needs a photographer when you can be your own?
Through everything that I've been through so far, I'm gradually building myself up to be the person that I want to be and do the things that I love and have always wanted to do. Looking back, I absolutely LOVE the fact that I had enough courage to take risks & do things that I didn't think I would have done (e.g. asking my prom date to prom or telling my crush I like them - with no expectation of being together. Just for a new start).

Do things that make you laugh and be with people that make you smile because those are the moments that will keep you walking till the end.

I'm wacky, weird, random (very random, sorry), hyper, shy, loud, quiet, out-going, conservative, friendly, love to smile & laugh, love making others to do the same & I hope that one day I would be able to inspire some of you guys to love life as much as I do & even more.

Do what you love, be who you want to be & inspire others to do the same

Look of the day

Hi peeps!

So today's weather was beautiful but I was sadly in my lazy mood with my sweat pants & baggy tee. However, I ended up meeting up with my friend at Pacific Mall (asian mall where I live) - with my sweats, its a no jeans day for me . I had my hair curled the day before so this was 2 day curls & usually when I curl my hair with my Conair Infiniti curling wand, the curls last me until I need to wash my hair.

I did not wear the headband or the ear cuffs out but I thought it was a nice touch to the look :) For my makeup, I used the Urban Decay Naked Palette 2 for a really simple everyday look that I would always do. Also, I am wearing fake lashes here but doesn't it look so natural? I also got them from eBay. Nothing brand name, it's just simple lashes that I got for no more than $2 for those white rectangular box set (from China of course). I don't usually wear lashes but if I do, I only like simple natural ones like the ones here :) No big flared up ones for me. They scream fun but I tend to always go for the more natural look.

P.S. I am wearing the Maybelline 70 pink shock baby lipstick on my lips.

So I decide to switch it up with my ear cuffs from the pearl to a more edgy look with my spikes ear cuffs which is also from eBay :) If anyone of you guys are looking for awesome ear cuffs, I would definitely recommend looking at eBay. I don't know about you but for me, I am not willing to spend about $5 or so for a simple ear cuffs at my nearby store. You can get really fantastic design ear cuffs on eBay if you just look around.

REVIEW: Maybelline baby lips (70 - pink shock)

Hi guys! Sorry for the MIA but I've been all busy with college life and I'm still trying to adjust to all schedule and stuff. But I have a few reviews for you guys & a family trip (putting together footage into a video + pictures) ahead for you guys which I am super excited for. But for this post, I'm going to be reviewing : MAYBELLINE BABY LIPS in the shade 70 PINK SHOCK
Keep in mind that I bought this for $3.99 ON SALE but on regular it would be about $4.99 at Walmart/Shoppers
This can be available at any local shopping center like Target, Walmart, Shopper's Drug Mart & etc.
P.S. like my set up for this display? ;) Wanted to do baby a photoshoot [ahahha! see what I did there calling it 'baby' when it's name is baby lips? ..... okay okay i'll stop now]

I decided to measure how much product you would get in a stick size full & it's around 3.5 cm in length so its a pretty good amount for about $4 worth.

*Bad lighting on the 3rd pic!* That's why it may look more of a dark purple-pink colour. It's actually in reality a more fuchsia-pink tinted colour
Here I did a collage of how tinted and visible the colour is of this moisturing lip balm. To note: Yes! this is a tinted lip balm but as you can see, there isn't much of a huge colour difference when I put the baby lips on. Frankly, I actually love the little hint of feminism of pink colour it gives to my lips. I am not the type of person that wears any lipstick and my lips are sometimes naturally pink and red at times when it is irritating. But this lip balm is AMAZINGGGG at moisturizing my chapped lips! I've heard good reviews on it but I've never bother trying it out because I'm thinking 'Am I really willing to spend about $5 for a lip balm?' Honestly, after trying it? Yes!

OVERALL THOUGHTS
  • It's glossy at first (First impression). Kind of like when those really buttery lip balms.
  • However, it does get observed into your lips & your lips will feel like well...... baby lips. Smooth like a baby's butt says the expression.
  • You can have a subtle tint to your lips for a more feminine feel
  • It is also build-able for a more fuschia-pink colour for evening nigh out look
  • Results: my lips feels amazingggg. It feels moisturized, smooth, very soft & just kissable
Yay or nay? Yes! If you want a a slight tinted but very moisturizing lip balm for a great smooth and soft after feel - go get yourself one!
Ratings: 8/10 [for the glossiness in the beginning. I'm not a fan of lip gloss maybe that's why & also cause it does show a fuscha
Of course, this is my first baby lips stick. If you have any other request items for me to review, feel free to comment below & let me know :) I would love to try to do them.
